Whilst on the road to Offenburg Ælfric makes sure to train his martial skills for an hour every morning. He walks into a field and trains in swinging his axe and sword, perfecting his strokes and hacking away at the occasional tree.
Most importantly he practices stringing his bow and firing arrows at targets. He begins by firing at 10 feet and gradually increases his accuracy and range with time.
